Write it the way you'd say it. “I don't know, surprise me” is a perfectly good request.

Bonsoir. Tell me what you're in the mood for — I'll do the rest.

Guests *

Guests, date and time — that's all Charles needs, whichever way you ask.

Three steps, and one of them is dinner.

  1. 01

    You ask

One message, in your own words. Or simply: surprise us.

  2. 02

    Charles chooses

One restaurant, chosen by a person who knows the room.

  3. 03

    Charles books

The call, the requests, the confirmation. You just turn up.

Why Charles exists

We don't give you 200 restaurants. We give you one we think you'll actually like.

Finding restaurants in Paris isn't hard. Deciding is. Lists, rankings, opinions, forty minutes lost and a nagging feeling you picked the wrong place. Charles removes the search entirely — a real person makes the call and stands behind it.

You don't need to know where to go. That's Charles' job.

Three ways to ask

However you want to decide — or not decide.

Find & book

The usual way. Tell Charles what you want, he finds it and books it.

Surprise me

You choose the mood, Charles chooses the restaurant. You find out once it's booked.

Barycentre gastronomique

Everyone coming from a different corner of Paris? Charles finds the table that's fair to all of you.

Barycentre gastronomique

Everyone gets there. Everyone gets a great restaurant.

Not a midpoint on a map. Charles weighs travel times, métro lines, neighborhoods and what's actually good nearby — so nobody spends an hour on the 13 for a mediocre dinner.

Charles remembers

Your usual budget, the neighborhoods you like, what you've already been to, what you won't eat. Ask twice and it starts to feel like he knows you.

“You liked the last two places I sent you, so I found something in the same spirit — but a little more relaxed.”

Chosen by taste, not by budget

Restaurants don't pay to be recommended. No sponsored rankings, no paid placements, no partners pushed to the top. Good places get recommended because Charles likes them.

Human knowledge, judgment and taste. The difference isn't the size of the database — it's the quality of the decision.

Pricing

You pay. The restaurant doesn't.

Charles works for the diner, not the kitchen. That's why the recommendation is honest — and why the service has a price.

No hidden restaurant commission. Charles is paid by the people he seats, not by the places he recommends. Restaurants join the network for free and are chosen only because Charles thinks you'll like them.

We stopped opening restaurant lists on the third night. Just asked Charles.
